And you thought I was just taking good notes...

I should probably be paying more attention, because it sure looks like my art career's going nowhere in a hurry...

And no, no particular reason for posting this. But hey, feel free to copy them if you missed class last week.

UPDATE: Only one day after I posted this, Yahoo runs this story. Coincidence? I think not. Now as to what the coincidence is, I don't know.

Not too bad. Good to see the Great Wave Off of Kanagawa or at least a derivative of it.

Seriously why post this? My mother would kill me unless it was for art class.

Well, Steve *some* mothers think every doodle is a masterpiece and should be posted for all to enjoy...

EITHER THIS IS A PICTURE OF A PERSON USING BOTH SIDES OF HIS BRAIN AT THE SAME TIME, OR A PRIMITIVE HIEROGLYPH WITH ITS EQUALLY PRIMITIVE INTERPRETATION, OR THE ACTUAL DEPICTION OF BOREDOM!

Hey - reminds me of notes I've taken in classes before when I HAD to do something to stay awake!!!!

Steve, why would I be punished for creating a "masterpiece?" :D

And I'll tell you what anonymous #3, it's great to know I'm not alone. Though I hope for your sake the material covered was more engaging than resource dependency theory.

Does that say "spinach leadership" at the bottom right?

ok seriously CJ...you doodle worse than some of the girls that i know how are the artsy types and actually get all into their doodles on their notes. but at least you're entertained by your higher education, which is more than i can say for accounting at the moment...

I actually have a stated policy that allows students to doodle in class. As long as they can listen and take notes too, I have no problem with it. Some people are actually more intellectually stimulated when their hands are doing something pointless. Either that, or I'm rationalizing for years and years of my own doodles. I like the article tie-in by the way.

ManNMotion: Glad you could make it out. The full sentence reads: "Under spinach leadership, many were led to local hospitals."

Amanda: I "doodle worse than a girl?" Oh, it is *so* on now. :P

Carol: Finally, someone who understands my art!

Tim: I like your policy. Any chance I can transfer?

I have a great series of doodles from one of my classes. It was the worst teacher I've ever had; He was the most frustrating person I've ever met. The series began with a sketch of him getting hit in the head with a dry erase marker. The next day he was getting hit with my water bottle. The objects progressed in size through a grand piano, a truck, and finally the moon. Then I switched to him being eaten by various mythical monsters: a chimera, the jabberwoky, grendal, cerberus, etc. Though I learned very little in the class, I did save my notes.

Anonymous, those sound like some truly AWESOME notes.

If you ever shed your anonymity and post the notes online, *PLEASE* let me know. Seriously.
