Wyoming people know their humor

Being the massive time waster that I am, I was browsing Amazon.com today, and happened to notice a seller (in Amazonian, a "zShop merchant") from Wyoming. Naturally, I was compelled to see what a fellow Wyomingite was offering for sale.

I was hoping to see this Equality State citizen selling something cool, like a Traveling Wilbury's CD or something (who I must confess I'm awfully obsessed with for never having heard a single song of theirs). However, I ended up finding something not cool, but fricking awesome.

I found this:
Now, if I'm the only one chuckling, you're not reading carefully enough,* because that there is pure comedic genius.

Read it over again or click on it for the larger version, but make sure you appreciate the humor, because that's pretty clever for some backwater Amazon.com page.

Serious props, jaredandvalerie.**

*Or, I could just be a big nerd.

**Odds are, we know each other.

That is pretty amusing. Do we have a clue how, exactly, he plans to sell the book, neither nationally nor internationally apparently. LOGICALLY speaking, maybe he's thinking, let's say, in another dimension? I wonder if he READ the book? I'm thinking, NOT.

CJ, thanks for your cleverness and I will continue to tell your mother what a bright boy she raised! :-)

WYO rocks.

How awesome is it that someone would go to all this trouble and, for the most part, not be around for the payoff?

Now that is genius.

Sherri, I have no idea how he plans to sell that book, but the other dimension sounds pretty good to me.

Here's the email I got from the seller this morning: "I'm glad you're humored. Since I got it in the US, obviously people in the US have it but I'm glad you're entertained."

Make of that what you will.

Wait a minute. Are you saying this is not a joke? These folks are really trying to sell this thing? Even more genius.

I think they should keep the book and dig a little deeper into its content.

I'm honestly not sure if it's a joke or not. My most recent attempts to determine the seriousness of this whole have gone unanswered thus far.

It certainly would seem difficult to actually sell the book under the specified terms, but who knows.

Regardless, in my mind, it's still pure genius.

See that's may favorite kind of humor, right there: the joke whose primary intent is to make the teller laugh. Laughs from any other party is merely comic gravy.

Thought I'd return the google search. Though you were number two. Pity how that is. Oh and while I'm at it this post/find is most genius. But don't let that swell your head too much.
