File Under: Thank You Very Much

I often blog about stupid headlines. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to blog about stupid stories.

Today is one of those times.

I don't know if anyone else read this story about Desperate Housewife (hasn't that crap taken on a life of it's own...) Eva Longoria's love life.

If you did, you surely must have been weirded out by this line:

File it under Too Much Information, but Longoria told "Extra" and "Access Hollywood" that "when the lights are out, he's the teacher," ... and "I'm the student," she added to "Extra."

I mean seriously.

First off, Associated Press, if it's "Too Much Information," then how about this one:

DON'T WRITE A STORY ABOUT IT!!!

I know it's hard to resist; celebrities are ridiculously awesome, incredible, and amazing, in addition to being quasi-deities. So, next time you feel tempted to write a story about every little thing some A-list star says, just remember this little poem:

Not every word that drips
from the famed's golden lips
is worth a news clip

So when reporting, here's a tip:
Before you write - get a grip!!!

Thank you.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure Ms. Longoria couldn't have picked a worse day to discuss her love life in terms of "teacher" and "student."

Good grief.

Not only that but the writing is very bad. The quote should've ended with "he's the teacher,"... and "I'm the student." But the writers had to add the extra "Extra" that's terrible.

Longoria told "Extra" and "Access Hollywood" blah blah blah yada yada, she added to "Extra"
