Who's you?

I'm CJ Baker, and I'm the dude behind the curtain at Slaunchways. You'd be surprised how often my name gets butchered.

I'm a Wyomingite (non-native) working as a staff writer at a bi-weekly newspaper.

I was bored out of mind one afternoon in college in 2004 and ended up starting a blog. It's slowly morphed into what you see today.

With Cheney out of the White House, I'm hoping to one day become "Most Famous Wyomingite."

If that's not enough, you can always find me on Twitter here or look at some of my influences here. Holler if you have questions.

In sincerity,

I appreciate the support, Valued Constituent.

Regrettably, unless I can raise $4 million by next month, I will not be running this term.

my name is Paul Pangman and I am a producer at the Purple States Project. I am trying to recruit VLoggers for a user-generated news website that will be launching on . What we are looking for is people from all 50 states to make a VLog about the economy. This is obviously a very important time in the history of our country and we want to make sure that the story is told by the people experiencing it. I was hoping you would consider being our correspondent from Wyoming. If you are interested, we will pay you $50 for your VLog. We have arrangements with several major media platforms to promote and support this project so your message will be heard loud and clear. If this sounds like something you might like to do, please read on.
First, I was hoping you could just answer a few questions about yourself for me:
1) your age
2) what do you do for a living
3) what is your political affiliation (if any)
4) where are you from in Wyoming

Anything else that you would like to add is up to you. I hope that you like the sound of this project because we would love to have you be a part of it. If you are inspired to proceed, just let me know and I will get you further instructions.

Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for the generous offer. Purple States is a really neat concept. However, as a guy who reports for a newspaper for a living, I'm pretty sure I don't meet the "citizen journalist" criteria.
